So I'm pretty sure I've tracked down Keith's work address. I've got this letter that I drafted to Keith that I'm planning to send to him by certified mail, return receipt requested as well as to his work email address. But I'd like to have someone look over it before I send it. Preferably someone with some sort of knowledge about how to deal with roommates that don't pay and stuff like that, in a context of potential legal action. Or with some kind of legal knowledge. I think the letter is reasonable, and have documentation of the agreements mentioned in the letter.

Drop me a comment if you can take a look-see.

I can take a look, too. When I had a problem with a roommate not paying, I found a lot of helpful information on the county government website. You might also look for information on how to sue somebody in small claims court - there is usually a procedure for how you have to demand payment before you can take them to court.

I'll take a look, but usually how I deal with stupid people involves an aluminum baseball bat or brake fluid and their automobile.

I was just thinking the same thing about how to take care of him. Unfortunately, he rides the train and doesn't have a car. But the bat to his face might work... ;O}

Feel free to send it along, I did have this deal once, so I know about how it should be phrased.
