*Grumble*

I am planning to get a tattoo of a swan on my back. I found a picture of a swan that is pretty much exactly what I want...except that it's SO teeny..to enlarge even a tiny bit would render the picture useless because of pixelation. And I haven't found another one even similar.

Do you have any friends who are good at sketching and drawing? I took a tiny picture of a cat and blew it up to about 10 times its size.

Of course, any good tattoo artists would be able to draw up a much larger image based on a tiny picture.

any tattoo artist worth his weight in ink can take any image and take it to the size you want.

Leodios is right, they can do the drawing, just give them the reference. OR find someone that can do vector imaging. They can blow it up and probably vectorize it.

As the other two said, a good tatoo artist will be able to work with it.

Pixellation doesn't matter, because the artist has to redraw the artwork on your skin anyway. If you brought it in, blown up, and said you wanted the pixellated effect, I suspect the artist would charge more because of all the detail work that means.

How big is it? Can you print it out and use a copier to magnify it?
