Pastafarins, Ramen!

Nicked from [livejournal.com profile] marylith This is far too funny. Safe for work, unless your superiors have no sense of humor. Or if you're not allowed to surf the net. In which case, you probably shouldn't be reading my journal either.

If you do read it, be sure to click on the many linked references, especially the open letter to the school board, and their responses. If you're not too busy laughing your ass off.

[livejournal.com profile] pirateswitters and [livejournal.com profile] slightlymadman, if you're stil reading LJ I think you'll apreciate some of the sentiments expressed, such as

"Global warming, earthquakes, hurricanes, and other natural disasters are a direct consequence of the decline in numbers of pirates since the 1800s. A graph showing the inverse correlation between the pirates and global temperatures was also provided. This was presumably intended to highlight the logical fallacy of correlation implying causation."

lol. i love it. i especially love the response letters from some school board members. i've thought about the issue before.... there are certainly *many* theories/beliefs about where we come from, the beginning of life, etc. who is anyone to decide that only one side should be taught???

All hail the Flying Spaghetti Monster!! :)

Tho, I still am awaiting the coming of the Great White Hankerchief....

Such is the power of logic... bread and pickles will be ruin of humanity -- deaths from these two items are on the rise, as anybody that has ever eaten bread or pickles has or will die in the next 200 years. There is no proof, however, that eating both bread and pickles will kill you any faster than eating them alone, but the fact remains that they are hazardous and should no longer be sold to young children.
