Does God Care Who Gets An A?

No registration. Should be safe for work, may be somewhat offensive to the VERY easily miffed. This is funny. but it has a point too.

God Cares, Jesus Saves, and Believers Pray

For one thing, any people who are already pre-disposed to disbelieving the power of prayer in the first place are of course going to demand a more humanist metric for something you might call divine intervention- but what exactly would make that science-based bias any more or less convincing than a spiritually-based one?

For another, science conforms to God's will, not the other way around. =\

and what do you think of educators "teaching to the test"?

tres amusant! but how are the atheists going to prove their point?

i'm more a fan of doing things the old fashioned way, anyhow. let the gods come down and battle it out face to face, lighting fires and such. whichever school building survives shall be declared receiver of the 'a'!!!

You really shouldn't get me started on that one. =P

...but, since you brought up tests, now I'm thinking of something else:

Let's say that this "objective scientific experiment" takes place- one school prays for grades, one school cavorts with Satan, and another does neither. Since the agenda of each school is identified, and people are inherently crooked, I can see a number of deliberate, human tamperings with the resulting grades- on all sides. You can't trust people, especially when they don't put their trust in God. The idea was not even a plausible solution from stage one.

Wow, and all this time I thought the whole idea was tongue-in-cheek :-)

that's why i found it so amusing. Actually, I think I would have found it amusing if they were serious. Maybe even more so.

Am I misreading, or are you taking this guy's suggestions seriously?

I took his suggestions seriously because I figured that since they weren't funny, there must have been some other point to suggesting it.
