Sep. 11th, 2003 10:46 amSo I've been amiss for a while...for no good reason other than the fact that I haven't felt like dealing with the browser/LJ malcooperation. BUT it would appear that the situation has improved.
Over the last few weeks, I've worked a lot.
Friday I had a potluck dinner here to celebrate the birthday of
odalisques (OH yeah...did I ever say, Happy Brithday Kari!!!) and then some of us went out to the Depot/Charles club. Friday night was absolutely wonderful, nice and cool and perfect. Saturday I slept til noon, got up and wandered into the bathroom...took one look at mywself in the mirror and decided that I should always look the way I did...half-asleep, the most perfect case of bed head I've ever seen...all curlyish and stuff, burgundy eyeliner only slightly smudged up, and red lipstick looking like I had just put it on. So I wandered downstairs and played on the computer....tried to talk myself into doing dishes...did laundry...tried to talk myself into doing dishes...talked to Tanner for an hour on the phone...tried to talk myself into doing dishes...had lunch...tried to talk myself into doing dishes. I think I started doing dishes a little before 4. Yay me, washing dishes in my pajamas, dancing around the kitchen and singinng along to Red Hot Chilli Peppers or somesuch. It's only appropriate to say...Dammit, I'm Adorable!
Last night wandering around the Harbor and Fells Point...wandered into Soundgarden....specifically looking for Shakespeare's Sister...they didn't have that. Also didn't have Bran Van 3000's Discosis, Or anyhting by Rhea's Obsession, Point Of Ares or Primordial. They did have one cd by Faith And The Muse, but I really can't afford a NEW cd right now. Clouds were VERY cool last night. Today I wandered down the street and returned Kari's bowl and lid, and then dragged her off to Mars (Ok, so she lives next door to Mars and was planning to go anyway...but so what? Hehehe) Got some lunchish stuff, came home, ate, played around on computer, wandered towards Arbutus. Went to the used cd store. FOUND THE SHAKESPEARE'S SISTER CD!!!!! USED! Woohoo!!!!!
Work again tomorrow.
Stuff On The Brain. But life is good. This occured to me. Again. Friday, when I was cooking dinner food. I'm living in a place I like, not exactly in, but close enough to a big city. A very small big city I find out more and more in the most hilarious of ways. I have friends nearby, many friends. And now some more new friends. Soon I will be working much closer to the house. And other things are working out very well thus far. Yeah, this is how life is supposed to be. Well, mostly.
Giggling 12-year-olds in Rite Aid annoy the snot out of me.
