You know Borders and their Borders Rewards card?

I have like $22 that I can spend on that card. (I haven't bought that many books. A while back I joined e-rewards which allowed me to add an extra $15 to my Borders Rewards account.)

it's like (mostly) free money.

Now...what to use it on....

So I ended up finding a two-disc DVD set of Cinema Paradiso which includes the American Theatrical Release and the director's cut. (I used to have the special edition DVD with both on a double-sided disc. No clue what happened to it.)

I also found what I wanted for Christmas and called up my mom to let her know. Krzysztof Kieslowski's Trois Couleurs dvd set.

Maybe she'll be able to pick those up without having qualms about them like she did with the curtains last year. She gave me a gift card because she couldn't see the curtains that I wanted hanging in a bedroom. They're dining room curtains, she said.

My mom is so weird. I never did get the curtains.

I almost bought the Trois Couleurs set myself. I also almost bought several books. But I went for the Cinema Paradiso dvd's instead, after determining that they did not have La Notte Di San Lorenzo. But damn, they had a lot of Fellini. (I'm not a fan.)
