Dec. 25th, 2006 12:53 amI'm up in PA now...got in this afternoon. I will be going to bed when my laundry (and therefore my pajamas) dry.
Just so everyone knows...we're scheduled to have internet service running at the house again by Tuesday, so I'll be on more regularly soon. I'll be back in Maryland on Wednesday evening.
Last night was Yule at the grove, came homw this morning and napped for a few hours...then work up with quet a headache. It only went away earlier this evening. Speaking of this evneing I totally mutilated- er, carved- my first turkey tonight. Mike wouldn't do it because it was Dave and Chelle's house. Dave wouldn't carve because the men in his family don't carve (apparently noe know how), finally, chelle handed me the knife and fork and gave me the honors. It might have been easier had the turkey been rightside up- we had to flip it halfway through.
Handknitted scarves are a big hit- Chelle put hers on right away, and even kept it on except while cooking, and Samantha did as well, she kept running around with it, and went and got the one I crocheted for her this summer, wore them both together.
Mom has given me a Borders gift card...I had wanted Kryztoff Kryslowski'sRed/White/Blue trilogy (Still do) but Borders in lancaster doesn't really stuck such things. The gift card is also enough to buy this book of ancient Greek Temples that I have been wanting for some time now. So I might not get the trilogy with it. We shall see...
My father, whom I have not spoken to since February, called me yesterday and all he wanted was for me to tell him how to fix his computer. Of course, he couldn't tell me what the actual problem was. then he mentioned that he wants to see me this year for Christmas. IF I were to go over there, I would be completely at someone else's mercy to come get me and give me a ride to Columbia and then back to Grandma Jane's. I'm not too sure that I want to deal with that.
I should go check on my laundry in hopes that I can go to bed soon. I'm still veeeeery tired.
Merry Christmas, Happy Non-Celebratory Monday, Happy Movie-And-Chinese-Food day etc. etc. etc.
