Went up to PA and spent the day at Devon & Drey's. Galavanted about the farm a bit, played with the horses (No riding though) and with the dog too. (They have a Russian Wolfhound. She's one of the sweetest dogs I've ever met.) Devon taught us a bit about horses (Most of the same stuff she talked about back in the spring when I went up there before Beltane), and Drey grilled up some hamburgers. Pete and Kelly brought marinated mozerella cheese (with sundried tomoatoes...yum.) We sat around a fire out in the yard for a while after it got dark and then headed back to B'more. After I got home, Nicole and I went over to the Greek Festival at the Annunciation Cathedral on Preston Street. I've been wanting to see the inside forever now and I finally got to. It's such a gorgeous church. (I find church architecture and decoration to be endlessly fascinating)

Had some spanikopita and brought home some baklava. Yummy.

It's funny, but growing up on a farm myself...I really didn't like the horses that much. I mean, getting around on a motorcycle was easier and didn't take months to train :D Of course now I miss the whole thing...but I would never want to do that for a living again. Visiting is nice though, and I can do that whenever I go home. Church architecture has always fascinated me too. It seems that very few things inspire people to take their time with structures. Faith, no matter where it is placed, is a powerful thing.
