Computer is wiped, got AVG and spybot installed, surfing with Firefox.

I will be getting a copy of XP tomorrow and will put that on the other computer.

Awesome extension. Blocks all scripts from all sites. Add only the sites you want (The grove for instance) by clicking on the blue "S" at the bottom right of your window. Some sites might look funky (the Grove's will) until you allow scripts from it.

I always suggest it to everyone :)

excellent, don't forget to run the spy bot anytime want, once a week to a month is ok. I usualy do it when I want. Comes to about once a month. Use the Immunize. There is an included helpers, one known as tea timer will watch out for anything that goes to alter the regristy. You have to authorize every change. Or if you don't like what's being done. Deny it. If it happens over and over, you can even allow for the rest of the time it shows up or deny.

okay, i think i need to reinstall the program, because the tea timer authorization thing keeps coming up and the buttons are sorta not drawn correctly and all i can do is close the window and then i see a little message that i've either allowed or denied whatever it is...and frequently the same thing will pop up every minute or two

yea, someone didn't code that right me thinks, I've just gotten used to it. Don't think a reinstall will fix it. You can always deny something, or always allow. Check the box and then hit deny or allow.
