I bought myself a decent set of pillowcases last night. Plain white, 100% cotton, 600 thread count goodness.

They were a lot less expensive than I expected. Or maybe it's just that the last time I really paid a lot of attention to the pricing of pillowcases was when I was working at Linens N Things when I was 16 and everything seemed expensive then. (Well, some of it really was. Hello, Laura Ashley?)

But they were well worth it. Next up, decent pillows for my decent pillowcases, and a decent sheet and comforter set. Maybe next month I'll get the pillows.

My old flannel pillowcases, I think i will save for when I go camping and stuff.

I love overstock.com for good sheets. :) I also watch for when the non-flannel sheets go on sale in the fall.

that's where I'm planning to get mine actually. But the nearest Ikea is a bit of a haul without a car, so I never go there unless someone else is going. But the pillows are great, so I might be willing to take the hour+ bus trip there.
