I had a confusing bit of a dream...hmm...either Friday or Saturday night, I don't remember and it doesn't matter which night. It either totally confirms or totally denies my thoughts on something, it's that conflicting.
Saturday,
chironcentaur and I were wandering about the city and stopped at Grandma's candles to get some more Doc Bronner's Tea Tree Oil soap. We got there just as the clock on my phone was reading 5:00 (they close at 5), and the store looked dark from outside, so I jsut said nevermind and started to walk away. So Gavin asks if I'm sure I don't want to try and go in, and I said "No, they're closed". Then she points out that there are people inside...somehow I totally missed this. So I said I'd try the door. It was, of course, unlocked. I went in and grabbed the soap. The owner was there, asked if I realized they were closing in five minutes, and I explained that I was just there to grab the soap, already in hand.
Then she says to me "Oh, one question....it was the statue of Apollo on the swan that you wanted, right?"
Yeeees.....
I've been meaning to get to Grandma's to order
- she knew that I wanted it because I'd looked through a couple of their catalogs trying to find it. Well, I don't need to...she picked it up at a show in Colorado and had put it up on top of one of their high shelves waiting for me. I didn't have enough money on me to buy it, and I didn't really want to buy something breakable like that til after I've moved, so I put a deposit on it.
For a while I couldn't decide if I wanted it in solid white, or the ivory colored with gold as in the picture behind the cut...I finally decided on the solid white. And that's the one she got. Woohoo! Said statue will come home with me as soon after the move as possible.
Also, Wildberry brand now makes pomegranate incense. It smells all kinds of nice while burning.
At some point in all this, Gavin tells me that I'm hilarious. Apparently, this was all somehow entertaining.
Ah well, the statue, it is nearly mine.
I found out this evening that Gary has been writing tattle-tale emails to Rich when I don't work on web cases. Brian handles these things every night. He likes doing them and does as many as he can. Most of the time, he finishes them. If there are any left when Brian leaves, I work on them. If I can't find the answers or otherwise get them finished by the morning, I email Rich and let him know this.
Apparently Rich's response to at least one such email from Gary, verbatim was "I don't care."
Also, apparently Gary is pissed off at Brian because Brian made a comment to Ahmed all night about Gary sleeping under his desk for almost the entire shift.
