We have an apartment!!!!!!!

In Mount Vernon!!!!

it's on the top floor of a 4-story walkup. It's freakin' ugly, you just don't want to see the colors it's painted, but we don't freakin' care.

It's on St Paul street. Hello walking to the Light Rail again. Hello being a regular at XS again. Hello walking at night without worrying constantly about getting robbed again. Hello just walking places at all.

It's privately owned, not a leasing company. The owner lives in the building. No more endless phone calls and trying to get basic things fixed. The place has closets and shelves.

We are quite excited. Will be asking for help as soon as we get our moving date solidified.

Any chance you guys can paint it or is that not something you're interested in? I will probably be available to help, I would just need to know so I can clean out my car. I am typically free all day on Wednesdays if that works, after 8 on Mon/Tue, and after 4 on Thurs/Fri. I'm excited for you guys!

Yayayyyy! I am so excited for you! I loved living Mt Vernon and I know you did too. If you have time you should paint before you move in (though I realize what a bugger that "if you have time" clause is...)

Hmm...I'm not so sure that painting is going to take place. Not sure if it's allowed in the lease, and aside from that, I know I don't really want to pay for a full apartment worth of paint (while not a completely ginormous place, it's fairly big for a 2-bedroom, and besides that, it would probably take a couple of coats to decently cover what's there.)
