Gavin got a PSP for Christmas. She just plugged it in and turned it on (not for the first time), it's asking her to set it up (again) but won't let her select anything or move the cursor at all, And as soon as the power cord is removed, the battery dead symbol flashes and it shuts off.

Short of it being defective, is there any reason that she shouldn't be able to play said PSP while plugged into power? I just executed a bit of google-fu, but that got me nowhere and I've enver used a PSP.

(Yeah, I know, I fail at tech.)
