Probably bad: They're making a movie adaptation of Kerouac's On The Road.

Absolutely, positively, without a doubt in the world bad: That twit from the fucking sparkle-sparkle-weenie vampire movies is gonna be in it.

*cries*

This will not end well.

I've read I think six of Kerouac's books, and with the exception of Maggie Cassidy which featured one of the most annoyingly boring main characters I can ever remember reading about, I loved them. For the record though, On the Road isn't my favorite of his books- it's The Town and The City, which I have been seriously considering rereading. I think that that one would make for a better film adaptation, but it would never happen- how many people have heard of on the Road? Yeah, now how many people have heard of the Town and The City?

(Of course, a film adaptation would probably still suck.)

The only thing I've seen him in- and I only just now realized it, looking him up on IMDB was the fourth and fifth Harry Potter movies...and the part wasn't all that big, it was pretty hard to judge the guy's acting talent from that.

(And I love how he's doing everything in his power to sabotage the part and offend the fans, including not bathing for a week straight before appearances.)

That is quite amusing and now that you mention it, I was flipping through the People's fifty most beautiful people in the world issue at the grocery store a few days ago and saw him, and did not that they quoted him making some snarky comment about how he has to look as a weenie vampire.

The only thing I've seen Kristen Stewart in was Panic Room, and again, didn't realize that until I looked her up on IMDB while making the post. That movie was watchable enough. I don't really remember her performance though.

A movie starring a Twilight actor is enough to make me avoid it. I know it sounds awful because this movie isn't Twilight. I'm just so sick of Twilight and everything to do with the books, the movies and the actors.

There are much better actors and actresses out there......

Oh dear...you have my sympathy, because I once cried out when Kirsten Stewart is in a movie I wished to see. (Plus, they are making a movie about Theseus in Immortals (comes out in 2011), and an actor from Twilight will play as Poseidon. My jaw dropped, because the same actor is in A Nightmare On Elm Street (2010) and Prom Night (2009). Must be popularity or maybe even success in acting professions?
It still doesn't mean I agree with the actor, but I did like his role in both Prom Night and A Nightmare On Elm Street, but having Kirsten Stewart and/or Robert Pattison in everything just stinks... :/
