"Church" And Stuff

badstarI finally made it back to Cedarlight Grove this morning. It was a good morning, well-spent with people that I had met the other time that I was there, as well as new ones. Had coffee and breakfast, and felt very comfortable and home-ish curled up on one of the little cushion seats on the floor. Everyone was so cool. It was nice and informal without being a chaotic mess. This is definitely something that I need. To be part of a spiritual community but not bound by 6 squllion rules. And as it happens, I may spin fire as part of the Imbolc ritual in February.
Speaking of spinning fire, that was New Year's Eve, Becca had a small gathering way out in the middle of nowhere. Becca, Eric, me, a few other friends of Becca's, various neighbors etc. a couple of bottes of really icky sparkling wine (remember.."dry" and "sweet" are opposites!) and a couple of bottles of Asti...roasting marshmallows on the "fun stick" and some great spinning pictures. Crashed at Becca's for the remainder of the night, eventually came back here and went off to loo for a new apartment. Haven't found a place yet. Anyone know of anyone looking for a roommate?
Yesterday I was wandering around the Harbor or a bit while waiting for a phone call....there was a guy there playing a homemade percussion set...good stuff, but not much variety...he kept playing the same bars for several minutes....it sounded vaguely familiar, but got old pretty quickly. Just now I'm listening to some music and I realize where I'd heard it before..it's the same percussion background to Machine Love's CO2..except it sounds better from Machine Love. They don't repeat it constantly and there's other stuff along with it. Like some really nice saxophone.
I have to work tomorrow. I don't wanna. Oh well...at least my schedule for the month is looking better....
