Ten Things I've Done that You Probably Haven't (and if you have, do tell!)

1. Had my foot run over by a car (no bones broken, only scrapes and bruises, but I couldn't wear shoes for 3 weeks becase of the scrapes)
2. Had my name published in USA Today when I was in 3rd grade for sending in some game thing from a cereal box (Bonus! It was on my birthday!)
3. Learned to dance the Minuet (sadly, I don't remember it)
4. Drove halfway across the country with someone who I'd never met before.
5. Gone hiking in the Swiss Alps and watched the sunset over the Matterhorn
6. Learned to read before I was 3
7. Been kidnapped several times (Legal technicalities)
8. Met Dan Quayle (Wooooooooo)
9. Almost got killed by a typewriter falling on me
10. Had a county-wide event take place inspired by my Girl Scout Silver Award project

and, as far as 9 goes, almost died in an earthquake when my TV went flying across the room, narrowly missing my head.

LOL...never had any of those, exactly but...I've been on TV a couple times; I got my cane run over by a car (and another broken by a kid on a bicycle), and when I first started learning to read, I read everything including punctuation aloud. Of course, my grandma or someone said, "It doesn't say that!", and I said, "Does so! How do you know anyway, you don't know braille!" Oh, and hey, I stayed in an hotel room with three womens I'd never met before for a week. OK, so it was an APO nationals, but still. Oh yeah, nearly forgot. I met Douglas Adams. Up close and personal-like. And he even remembered me after his speech. And I have two copies of "Mostly Harmless", both autographed, one autographed personally to me with a slightly more legible signature than the book-signing-signed one.

Road Trips... got a towel??

Yeah, that was a fun trip *hehe* halfway across the country with an overloaded car :) Nothing like an APO National Convention to bring strangers together. *sings* People are strange, but I am stranger....

and I met Douglas Adams too!!! Awesome guy, rest his soul. He read at Montgomery College years ago.... got a complete set of paperbacks signed by him too :)

Uh...
