beracjade...apropos of your post a few days ago about pharmacists refusing to dispense birth control on moralistic grounds...Ill. Druggists Must Dispense Birth Control (Of course plenty of others will be interested in reading this, especially if you've been following the various news stories that pop up from time in the last 2 or 3 years about pharmacists who refuse to dispense birth control on moralistic grounds- or doctors who refuse to prescribe it.)
My thought on the issue is pretty much this...
A pharmacist goes into the profession knowing that it involves dispensing medication of countless types. Birth control pills aren't new folks. If you're going to have a problem dispensing stuff prescribed by a doctor, it's not the job for you. Your job is to make available what the doctor specified for the patient, not to alter that descision. If there's another pharmacist there to fill it who's willing to, well then have at it. But if you're the only one working...well hey...it's your job.
On a non-related note...I finally got into the doctor today...they had no appointments until this afternoon. By that time, I was of course just fine having slept the last 3 days. They also suspect I had the flu. Soooo..my 15-year flu-free streak has been broken. Let's see if I can do it again now?
