badstarSo...I spent 2 days with this on again, off again migraine thingy. Seems to have been far worse earlier in the day and almost gone at night. I went to the doctor yesterday. Doctor prescribed some narcotic...Lortab? Yeah. Annnnnnnd decided that I should have a referral to a neurologist to be sure that the tension headache/migraine thing is the problem and not a symptom of something bigger. Yay. The medecine knocked me out pretty good...i slept til almost 4 today. Then I went to the grocery store and bought yummy food and made yummy dinner.
Saturday night I worked and then went out to the B'more Gay Pride Block Party thing with a new friend, Clara. Clara went to PDF, but we're not sure if we met. She just moved into a place that I answered an ad for about 2 weeks ago (They wanted someone to move in like, right away...
i'm here til August.) How's that for random co-inkydinks? We got there just before RuPaul went on. It was really quite fun and cheesy. Then we went to the house of some random people that we met there and hung out for a while. A really vague aquaintence from work showed up. We were going to go to Ottobar, but never made it there. I had been thinking about ging to starscape...i really wanted to see Rabbit In The Moon, but didn't do that. Sunday morning I got up and made my way up to Cedarlight, but so may people were at Free Spirit that there was almost no one there. Caryn was working outside, and I ended up talking to Dierdre for a couple of hours before we all had some lunch and then I wnadered down to the Gay Pride festival to observe the festivities. I ran into an aquaintence that I hadn't seen in a while, he was constantly distracted by all of the Cute Boys. Also saw Kelly, peter, kayla and Maryellen, and Katarina from CAWS, and a former coworker whose name I can't remember to save my life. There were some Bellydancers that I enjoyed watching, but couldn't stand the music they were playing (Jennifer Lopez? Uhg.) And I got this gorgeous new bracelet- silver with faceted iolites and teardrop-shaped moonstones.
Monday when the headache subsided for he evening, I wandered downtown meaning to stop at Barnes and Noble and pick up a book, but never made it there. I started talking to this girl who goes by "Pickle". She was going over to Fells Point to meet a friend and knowing somemone who works for the water taxi, got a free hand stamp for the night. I was invited to go along and got a stamp too...that was fun. it was the first time I'd taken the water taxi here in B'more. I saw the sunset from the boat. it was gorgeous...sky was blue, the clouds were all neon pink...damn, why did I not bring my camera? I had thought about it. Hung out in Fells point for a bit and then came back via the taxi. The night skyline was also beautiful.
Yesterday I slept half the day and went to the doctor. Today after I woke up I started more new-housing searches and answered various ads for apartments for rent (Came across one that looked really nice, just a few blocks from where I am now.. I called about it...that particular one they expected you to show up to the showing with checks for a deposit and application fee for a credit check...that was for the apartment VIEWING...I was told that you couldn't LOOK without these thigns. Okay...so scratch that place off.) Answered another ad for smeone who was looking for both place and roommate, got an email back a few hours later with a phone number, talked to Mea for less than 10 minutes when she suggested meeting. She came over, we went to Paper Moon and hung out there for a while talking, it looks like we're going to find a place. Woohoo!
I never did really write about Playa Del Fuego. I had such an awesome time as always. Met some insanely cool new people, picked up some new staff moves, shared spinning space with people that just floor me (People like Dustin, and they guy Mike from Philly...Oh. My. God. That guy made my head spin with the stuff he did.) I hung out quite a bit with Ginger..who has since left for Nevada which made me sad!
I should probably go to sleep. Not that I didn't sleep plenty today. I should at least cut off this entry before it becomes pointless and senseless...oh wait....
