On Tuesday night I came home from work. WEnt upstairs to find
meapet looking out her window, she old me she had JUST messaged my phone to find out when I was getting home. Like, the second before I walked in. Apparently she was impatient. Next thing I know I'm on my way to um....Ikea. I have never been to Ikea before. I have spent gobs and gobs of time teasing people like
meapet,
forexample and
dcnblus for being such faithful members of the Cult of Ikea though. (Hey, it has to count for something.)
So Mea took me to Ikea where I was first quite astounded with how huge the place was. You could easily filt multiple football fields in there. And then there was the stuff. Okay..admitedly, much of the stuff is pretty cool. I had a time wrapping my brain around the idea that a while huge shelving unit was less than $40. i literally squeaked when I saw this huge corner wardrobe unit thing. I did find some stuff that I want. I don't see myself becoming a true worshipper.
One thing that I could make regular visits for...the little Swedish Food Market corner where I noticed shelves and shelves of Kristal sparkling cider...yummy stuff- Pear Cider! So hard to find!
Um, but yeah I want a few thigns. A chair, some shelves, some bedding, some random storage things (we have practically no closetage in the house...) some stuff. The whole of the stuff might cost $300 or $400, but I'm not getting it all at once.

Date: 2005-08-11 10:40 pm (UTC)Yeah, lots of things we want. I did get a cool teapot, candles (like 100), and some cheap picture frames. Tre' cool.
We hope to order a desk table at some time, but that'll be a while. Trust me, you'll become a worshipper before long. Besides, there's always Ikea online if you don't like the crowds. ;)
Take it easy!!
Kari :)

operating system. What do I push when I turn on the computer. I know I am supposed to push something,
