Current happenings in the gulf (Not that gulf! The other gulf! Okay, both gulfs now.) are uttery devastating and reading news and stuff makes me feel so helpless that I can't do anything. I say we all go to Sam's club or something and get a giant wholesale pack of paper towels and motor on down there and mop up the city with 'em. What to do after that/ I dunno, I just come up with the brilliant ideas. I'm not so great on the execution side of things sometimes. It's absurd, and I'm not trying to belittle the situation...but outlandish ideas are what I turn to when faced with a moment of "Duh...Um...dude, I can give money to the red cross, but besides that...oh yeah, I can watch media coverage...which benefits...the tv networks?" Ya know?

textured vegetable protein is also cheap and quite good at absorbing liquid.

i know what you mean. i want to DO something, i just don't know what.
although i have several sites i'm going to post later that are ways to help, besides giving money or blood to ARC.
