Yes, aesthetics are important when it comes to things that I have to stare at a lot.

the only thing I don't like about it is that the window color now no longer matches the iChat window color...

It does seem to be a bit faster on certain things, and more responsive on my ancient dinosaur of an iBook.

I like it mostly... except for the placement of the volume slider. It seems like its placement was just kind of random and last minute. Like, "Hmmmm, there's an empty space here... what to do... ooh! I know! We'll put the volume slider there!"

To be honest, I've never liked the whole "brushed metal" look anyway, so I'm glad they're making it smoother, like Mail, but yeah, I agree, it looks a little off. What is up with the square window thingie? Since when did Apple prefer squares over ovals?

The thing that bothers me about the new I Tunes is I downloaded it today and then I downloaded today's Jim Rome show and usually that's just 3 songs to download (each hour is a separate download) but now it's making me redownload 1800+ songs and it's taking forever!
