Me: I hate people! (Insert various expletives here)
Shawn: Uh...your hair looks nice.

Ok people, gather 'round, cause it's soapbox time again. A few tips on calling tech support....

1. before you buy a printer... MAKE SURE IT'S COMPATIBLE. Check the damned printer compatibility list. If it's not on the list for what you want to do, there's nothing that I can do. Just because a certain printer is Mac compatible doesn't necessarily mean it's also compatible with your freakin' airport. Or with a particular program....which leads me to...

B. We don't provide support for 3rd party applications! If your computer is doing somethign it's not supposed to and it's on our side, we can help you with that but if you don't know how to run your applications, it's not our problem.

4. Yes you need a CURRENT credit card to pay for out-of-warranty repair. Yes you need to install an application to run it. I need you to refer to components more specifically than "this thing" and "that cord" If you don't know what it's called, at least describe what it looks like and what you're tryig to do with it "This thing doesn't work" doesn't tell me much.

So I go back to PA for Christmas. First time back since I left. It was like I was never gone. Unfortunately. There less than 48 hours, don't think I could take any more.

Among other things...

My brother (Mike) bitched the whole time, don't think i even spoke to Anthony

My stepfather proclaimed my hair to be "terrifying" (I have by the way removed the technicolor braids...I was getting sick of my scalp being cold all the time, i'll do them again when it's warmer...)

Found out on Christmas day that my stepbrother (Kori) is in jail for stealing $10,000 worth of merchandise from Home Depot...and is addicted to heroin.

My grandmother is convinced that i'll never get married (at least she's not bugging me to get married in the first place) and is speculating on the idea that I might be a lesbian. Because I should have been married by the time I was 21. 22 at the outside.

Hitched a ride back to MD on Friday...Phil, Jen, Darby and Matt were all headed towards DC and passed right by my office on the way, so instead of having to be on a train at 6am and go to work from the train, they drove me, we all went to Eat n Park for breakfast first.

That's the latest. Considering my NYE options. Keith's party or...uh....well, I'm sure there are other options. I'll figure it out.

Time to go back to pretending I have a clue.
