My Lady, Your Hair Is On Fire!
Oct. 5th, 2004 01:41 pmSaturday I worked...and then went home to ponder...going to Shawn's party in College Park and not getting there until after midnight...or going to sleep. Before I got too far into the debate, Tanner asked if I wanted to go to the PA Renaissance Faire with him, his friend JT and another friend of theirs that I had never met, Toby. Last time I was there was 2001...with Tanner, JT and some other friends of JT's.
I went. It was fun...except the part about being stuck in a car for several hours early on a Sunday morning with 3 guys whose ideas of a sense of humor lead to a lot of bad puns. And Toby was diisturbingly chipper. my first few words to him were to infom him that he needed to stop that. (Morning Person factor aside, he was pretty coool)
Got to the Faire, bought ticketts and get in the gate where I was greeted with silly remakrs about my hair like "Plague viictim! It always goes to the head first!" and "My lady, your hair is on fire!" Managed to get myself separated from them after all of maybe 5 minutes...distracted by shiny objects or somethign. Wandered around for several hours before resorting to Cell Phone Location.
In my travels I happened upon quite the little slab of Labradorite (If you've never seen it...it's a stone thhat ranges from greyish to dark green and doesn't look like much until you hold it at just the right angle in the light when it apppears to glow all kinds of neon pastel colors.) This particular piece is quite blinding.
Got home Sunday evening to find Rob and Suzy at the house doing PDF stuff.
Spent a better chunk of yesterday stuck in the house waiting for the Earthlink guy to check out ou wiring...now they think it's on Earthlink's end not ours. Last night went to Mick O'Shea's for dinner...Rob, Jackie, Eli, Eric, Knarphie all showed up, as well as Becca who was meeting me there to go and check out the apartment in Parkville. Didn't pay attention to the road and missed our exit on 83...continued up to 695 and I managed to get us there from the memory of being there once the other week. I Rock. Becca crashed on the sofa at RTG last night and we went to Double T diner for breakfast this morning. And I'm at work now.
If Becca decides to move into the apartment, we will Cause Total Mayhem And Chaos!
It's slow.....15-20 minutes between calls, I can deal with that.
