Despite the fact that getting my bookshelves set up in the living room was my number one goal for the last 2 days that I was off work, I did not get it done. Oops. Maybe tonight?

Despite the fact that I am at work and a few things that normally would have put a damper on my day have gone down in the last hour or so, I am in an unreasonably good mood. I just almost giggled.

I have a new coffee mug. It's swirly and blue with yellow stars.

The Giant on Loch Raven has a really horrendous selection of tea. They don't have ANY Celestial Seasonings tea at all. But they do have Bigelow vanilla hazlenut tea, which really rocks.

I am getting used to referring to my residence as "the apartment" instead of "the house" or "RTG" And the new roommate is really into football. It's weird. I don't think Fred, James or Carl even knew what football is, let alone watched it. Come to think of it...no one ever really watched TV at alll, except for movies.

It's odd....i'm not much closer to work than I was before...though I thought I was. Looking at a map last night, i realized that the differece wasn''t that great. But it takes me half the time to get to work.

Havng a room on the southeast corner of the building, with windows on the south and east walls is doing some interesting things to my sleep patterns. I've woken up at or before 7 every morning so far, except the one day that it rained. I woke up at maybe 730 that day.

My next visit back to PA may be very interesting...depending on how the next few weeks play out...we shall see.

Woo Hoo...I'm getting better at touch typing, and for very short spurts can type almost as quickly as I can while looking at the keyboard. To steal a line from [livejournal.com profile] linzbinz I Am A Rock Star!

If you need my new address and stuff, let me know.

WTF?

So for a while there my call and handle time at work sucked royally. It's still not quite ideal, but it's way down.

Suddenly I get the decree today that anyhitng that could be distracting is to be removed from my desk. Random boxes of tea can stay. Lights can stay. The rocks must go. Huh?

Apparently a couple of random rocks on my desk are distracting me? I can't remember the last time my intelligence was so insulted.

But I can put them back when my time is down to goal.
