I'm A Professional Masochist!
Jan. 6th, 2006 04:44 pmThis is a fairly word-for-word conversation...
Me: Okay, can you take out the battery?
Her: Thats under the computer, right?
Me: Yes, there's a large screw that you can turn with a coin.
Her: I don't have a screwdriver small enough to turn the screws.
( Into the proverbial handbasket... )

It's a lie that we have all agreed to tell. It is useful to keep telling it, but it's also useful to remember that it's a lie.
( About 10 years ago I realized that my idea of reality was changing. )
I believe that there are people who do good things and people who do bad things, and we should embrace one and reject the other. Whether the people are "really good" or "really bad" is not for me to say. I can punch them in the nose, but I cannot inquire about their souls. Their souls are part of the sky, and the sky goes on forever.

You ever have one of those days when you experience significant reality leakage? Did you ever dream and wake up and, oops, still a dream?

2 cats in need of a good home!
Jan. 6th, 2006 10:54 pmHey people...anyone here looking to adopt some cats, or know anyone who might?
2 of my coworkers are moving at the end of the month and they have to give up their cats, which is really tearing them up. They're male and female, 5 and 7 years old, spayed and neutered. The male is declawed. I'm told that both cats are fairly docile, aside from playing together, and very friendly. Along with the cats, they are planning to give al their pet suplies...dishes, collars, litterbox (i'm pretty sure they said it was one of them fancy new-fangled self-cleaning things...), scratching post etc.
I wanted to take them, and talked to Mea, but because of the age of the cats, the temperment of her cat, and problems that we've had with our other roommate's declawed cat, decided that it would not be a good idea to risk having problems and traumatizing these cats further.
If you can help, see my next- locked- post for their contact info (I've been given the OK to give numbers out but aren't going to put them in an open post) if you see this and aren't on my friends list, drop a comment with an email address.
