I think I have a decent shot of having a part-time job pretty soon. I went up to Towson today and was wandering around the mall looking for places that were hiring. Walked by the store where Matt from the Grove works and stopped to say hi. He asked what I was doing, I told him and he got one of those looks on his face and say "Really, are you now?" Then he proceeded to inform me that his store is in pretty desperate need of help. And carted out a Really Effing Big Application (the worst part of job-hunting, hands down, is filling out applications. I loathe it.) but I filled it out and turned it in and then we went to get coffee and after that I filled out other applications at other places. Like Kokopelli, which had a mercifully short application, as did Lane Bryant.

Also, I'm working on it...the Hellenic study group thing? Dropped Caryn an email today asking her if it can be associated with the Grove and all that fun stuff. She said that that was perfectly fine. So now I'm trying to write up a little announcement-thingy to post in appropriate places like Witchvox. (Hopefully should have that done tomorrow, after I get a few more questions answered that I just came up with a few minutes ago) I'm pretty excited and ultimately, hope to be able to actually hold public rituals for Hellenic festivals. (Though I'm not looking at doing that anytime too soon.)

I also, for the first time since like 2001 have a weekly planner (Okay, so I technically HAD the planner, but the calendar was stuck back in 2001). I got one today at Barnes and Noble with a pattern that matches on of my notebooks. It should actually fit into the zipper planner thing that I have.

Plans for Pagan Pride Day in Baltimore in September are in the works. More details to follow as I'm allowed to speak.

Ummmm...I think that's the major stuff.

edit: Oh yeah...we turned the air conditioning on today for the first time in a week. *Sigh* I liked not using AC and being able to sleep with the window open. It was nice and breezy most nights.

Okay...gmail users: you know how once you send an email to an address or reply to one, it stores the email and then the next time you try to type in the address, it drops down a list when you start typing?

Gmail's been periodically erasing all of mine, and the after a while they show back up again, or at least once they erase, it starts storing them again. Well, for the last few days it's not even doing that. All of my addresses are gone, and aren't being stored again when I type them in.

We use ad muncher, gmail's been just plain wacky since Jesse installed that- I can't do ANYTHING in the account if the program is enabled, I have to disable it to read/write/whatever email. The page becomes periodically unresponsive while using and I have to refresh it (sometimes as often as every click or two, sometimes less frequently) and things just don't show up properly, like I'm not able to respond to some emails because there's no reply/reply all/forward line.

It's driving me a bit crazy, but sometime in the next few days, the computer that Mea gave me should be running. (We can hack the password, just need to get a network card into it. We've got a network card here...I just don't know how to install one. But I think we have that taken care of too.) For the moment, anyone have any suggestions?

By the way, we have a 4th person in the house now.

Oh, and I'd like to kill Willie Nelson. No, I take it back...Mr. Nelson has not done anyhitng to hurt me. Okay, so i'd like to kill the stereo from the construction site on the next block. They play Willie Nelson all day every day. With no intermixing with anything else.

The guy's only recoded so many songs, folks...change it up once in a while. Something...ANYTHING. I'm getting sick of waking up to the sounds of Willie Nelson and heavy machinery every...single...morning.

In case you didn't know, I'm not a fan.

there's a transcript of the conversation, and an MP3 file (It's not super-offensive, but you might not wanna play the mp3 file at work.)
