Yay! I have Labor Day Off! Woohoo! I haven't had Labor Day off work in three years.

Wait, right now I have every day off.

Oh well at least it's nice out. I'm going to do a little more job-searching, send out some more resumés, and then be off to go watch people at the harbor for a while or something.

Okay Geeky People...

So...here's the situation:

I have a computer with a 4-gig HD, and one with a 20-gig HD. Naturally, I want to make use of the 20, right? Right.

But the problem is that the 20 doesn't have an ethernet port.

For the sake of storing some stuff on the 20, I can do this:

Upload files that I want to store to some sort of internet storage place, pull my computer and steph and jesse's of the innernets and hook that computer up by USB and download.

Can anyone think of a more efficient way of handling this without purchasing any new hardware? I can't. This would be a temporary arrangement, til early next week at the latest. Then I can just purchase a usb-ethernet adapter and a router.

Interesting article on mistranslated kanji tattoos (it's a scanned magazine page, not a news or magazine website)

Glad I checked mine from a couple of different sources before having it done. My initial source was a Chinese dictinary published by Harvard. Don't remember the secondary sources. Only one person has ever tried to tell me that it was something different, and that was a 13-year-old kid (who insisted that he was fluent in Japanese, but he wasn't. Tried to tell me it meant "Water")

Next tattoo is in the design process...I've been trying to draw out somethign for a while, failing misterably. Devon and Drey were down at the Grove yesterday and the subject of tattoos came up, Devon was talking about drawing her own...and I asked if she might be willing to give a shot at drawing one for me. I told her what elements I wanted, and she started describing an idea that came to her mind from that...which was actually pretty much what I was trying to draw to begin with...so she said she'd give it a shot. Yay!

Baltimore folks...

I can't seem to find anything on the net or on the Baltimore Sun website or anything, but has anyone heard of some police activity last night around 1am? I was half asleep, got woken up by a police helicopter circling overheard with a spotlight on...well, I'm guessing on something on North ave, but it might have been Charles street...it was aimed at a point that was a bit too far away to be St Paul. AnywayI kept hearing over loudspeakers things like "get off of this block" and what sounded like it might have been a reading of the Miranda rights, but was kinda muffled because the helicopter had just come back around over my house.
