Okay kids, whoever's going to see the Tuba christmas with me tomorow at the Harbor, the plan is this:

You have two options:

1. Meet us there. Fend for yourself for a parking place. If you need my cell phone number so that you can find us, let me know.

2. Meet at my house by 230 and park for free. The 64 bus stops just around the corner on St. Paul at 242 and costs $1.60 each way. The return bus will drop us off on my block. Let me know if you plan to do this so I know who to be looking out for.

After the tubas, we can go over to Bluehouse for coffee and socializing, unless a lot of people have huge objections. Now that's a slight hike, but it could be walked, or if a couple of people are driving down and want to pile people into their car to head over, or we could take a bus...we have options.

If you're going...what do you want to do?

Remember, it's not too late to get in on the fun and festivities! I'm sure there will be plenty of tourists to laugh at.

Attention anyone traveling abroad:

http://www.cnn.com/2006/TRAVEL/11/30/traveler.screening.ap/index.html

Virtually every person entering and leaving the United States by air, sea or land is scored by the Homeland Security Department's Automated Targeting System, or ATS. The scores are based on ATS' analysis of their travel records and other data, including items such as where they are from, how they paid for tickets, their motor vehicle records, past one-way travel, seating preference and what kind of meal they ordered.

The fuck?

I decided to go ahead and start knitting them on straight needles, with the ribs going lengthwise. I know aboutthismuch about knitting...which involves no shaping or increases/decreases, so I had no idea how to make themso they actually smewhat conformed to my arms as they git skinnier towards my wrists.

I think I'm going to knit them s that they don't quite go all the way around the thickest part of my arm, and then lace them closed with ribbons or satin cord, that way, they're adjustable.

Hmm...what color ribbon? I'm thinking salmon pink and teal (two of the colors in the yarn...there's a picture here http://store.knitting-warehouse.com/309458.html)

I don't know what to get various family members for Christmas. Hmm...maybe I'll make them scarves (Croceted, not knit...I can crochet a scarf SO much faster than I can knit one- I can knock out a nice scarf in a day or two. and I know that samantha would LOVE somehign made out of sparkly pink or purple yarn..and anyhting that Samantha would like, Ashlyn would probably like too. Maybe I'll drop by Michael's on the way home from work. I made a stop there the other day to return the circular needles that I couldn't use, and a LOT of their yarn was on sale. I need to stop in the same shopping center and pay my phone blll anyway.)
