The dream came again last night. And like clockwork, I entered the temple. And, like clockwork, I woke up as soon as I set foot inside. Stupid recurring dream. Dammit, I wish I could just stay asleep for the rest of it, just once. I've tried a meditation going through the dream as it happens, but I can never hold it long enough to even get to the temple in meditation. WTF?

But in the news...

New species of leopard discovered in Borneo!

It's supposed to get cold again and freakin' drop a "wintry mix" on Hunt Valley tomorrow *grumble*

And it's only supposed to be ~45 degrees on Saturday.

I got a Mac last night. G3 tower from an ex coworker. Wireless mouse, monitor. (I'm not keeping the monitor though)

I realized that I am now in the ownership of three computers, and the current guardian of one more. [livejournal.com profile] rolsby says that this makes me a materialistic nerd...hehehe. (Note: The Evil will be ejected from my house as soon as [livejournal.com profile] dcnblus wants to cart it away and convert it back to a Linux box, or whatver else he would do to it. From here on out, I have my own Windows messes!

Now I need a router. And a really long ethernet cable. [livejournal.com profile] resident_geek? And eventually an ethernet adapter.

I'm getting dropped into a training class for the new position on Monday. A class that is already two weeks in. Awesome. Or not.

I just found out that as of 4/1, I will have company paid life, short term and long term disability insurance. Woohoo!

[livejournal.com profile] chironcentaur, in case I forget, I just put the disc with your files in my backpack to bring home tonight.

Umm...i think that's it for now. If anything else of note comes up, I will be sure to post it here.

...on the other hand, my health insurance is about to double in cost. Granted, coverage is getting better, and my insurance was pretty cheap to begin with. But it's irksome.

I could take a $7/check jump in payment and get the higher coverage, but oddly enough, certain things have better coverage on the lower plan (stuff I'll never use though, like substance abuse treatment.) Thing is...I never use my insurance as it is. But stuff like hospitalization coverage and stuff like that is one of those things that well, you never use until you needs it. I have two weeks to decide.

Oh, and my regular doctor visit copay will go down either way.

My vision insurance looks a lot better. Dental is the same.
