Jun. 7th, 2007 01:53 pmWell I found out at work last night that we won't be having June reviews at work anymore. They're moving them to December only. So while my raise took effect this week for the shift differenetial that I get, I won't be getting a performance-based review this month.
I was rather ticked off to learn this (Not that even the biggest raise they give would have made a substantial difference in my pay, but still...) however Ahmed told me that they're instilling something new where starting with this month, all tech support agents have the opportunity to earn up to $150 in bonuses every month based on actual performance.
Twenty seconds with a calculator revealed that this is the potential to earn up to almost six hundred dollars more in a year than I would get even with the highest raise (Last I checked, the highest raise they possibly give is .60/hour.)
We shall see how this pans out.
I also had my first "report card" last night- sort of little mini-reviews they they're supposed to give every month letting you know how you're doing and Ahmed had nothing but good things to say. This was actually for April, and I have one for May coming up- he'll be doing those next week. I do expect much of the same, though there's not much that can be said for me being in training for all but a handful of days last month.
I leave soon to go back to work. I have a meeting to officially learn the details of this new policy as soon as I get in.
