They're producing a series of movies from Susan Cooper's Dark Is Rising books. I've hoped for years that this would happen.

I may have to cry...the main character, an 11-year-old English boy is being changed to a 13-year-old American boy they're going to add VIKINGS, and a scene in a freakin' shopping mall, make one of his brothers into a possible Judas-type figure...apparently, from what I'm reading, the movie doesn't really resemble the books at all, and major folks involved in the production never even read the books.

This is utterly depressing. I always thought that The Dark Is rising, The Grey King and Silver On The Tree would make awesome movies (Over Sea Under Stone and Greenwitch would be good, but these two books aren't as good as the other three...Especially Silver On The Tree.)

Wow, that hasn't happened in a long time...

I had a dream today that was entirely in Spanish. I don't remember what it was about, but I do remember that I and everyone else in the dream were speaking exclusively in Spanish.

It's only been almost 2 years since I first joined ADF.

Now to dig up that letter of intent....
