(no subject)

In a considerably better mood today. I had a series of strange dreams last night, the main one involved me being both the player of and a character in some game. I started out standing in front of the door to an apartment, when I reached in my pocket, the key was there. Before I opened the door, I was safe, but once the door was open, at any point, the villain of the game could come and chase me down...it could be a matter of seconds, or of much longer before he did. But I had to go into the apartment and collect an envelope with a key to another room, or building, or something, and then get out of there and on to the next place. I could also collect different items, which I would have to give to other people as part of the game (A sweater, a basket, and a DVD were all some such items. I had to carry them in my bare hands while running around.) Typical of my dreams that involve places of dwelling, this apartment was pretty spectacular and I wouldn't mind living there. (Actually, one of my later dreams did also take place in that apartment, and I was living there at the time...lol)

So sometimes this guy would catch me while I was still in the apartment, other times I would get to other places and collect other items and keys before getting caught. According to the game, once caught, I was "dead" but the game always just started over from there.

In the other dream taking place here ( odd, but rather boring dream in which I bitch someone out and slice up a bunch of cake. )

I dunno. My brain is weird.

I go back to work today. This whole daylight savings time thing has me all messed up. I say we should eliminate it all together. Yeah, that's it.

Really Easy Peppermint Mocha

Chop up a few mini peppermint patties (number depending on how pepperminty you want it), throw the bits into a coffee pot. Brew a pot of coffee. The hot coffee pouting into the pot, and the heat from the burner will melt the peppermint patty bits and it'll all mix into the coffee.

pour the coffee, add milk, sugar, whatever you add to coffee and some whipped cream.

Yummy.

What does it stand for?

Dedicants Program, right? Right.

Well unbeknownst to just about all of you, it also has another meaning for me. One that I forgot for quite a while...until today.

So earlier, I was talking to acousticdryad about various and sundry ADF things, including...the DP. I'm typing and out of nowhere, I start typing "flaming" instead of just "DP"

Flaming DP. I dunno why I suddenly remembered it and was typing, but there it was, and it took me a second to remember WTF "flaming" was doing in front of DP.

For practically everyone who sees this, "Flaming DP" is a beverage that was (is?) popular with folks in my chapter of Alpha Phi Omega. Basically, it involved amaretto, cheap beer and just enough 151 to light things on fire...apparently it tastes like Dr Pepper when properly executed. I don't like Dr Pepper or amaretto. At the time, I just really disliked beer, didn't realize I was allergic (or hadn't yet developed the allergy actually) so I never had one.

But then the next thing that came to mind...yes, Stell, I still remember this, was the roll call from the Section 41 conference the semester I pledged....to the tune of the Beverly Hillbillies theme...
