So last night I stayed at work, processed almost 200 death emails. Blah.

Came home, slept til about 230 when Dominic called wanting me to try and find his wallet. Then I wandered out a bit later to go and find Gavin. hung out on the balcony at Barnes and Noble down by the harbor for probably an hour, it was so nice out. Then a discussion of high school English classes led to some impromptu recitations of Edgar Allen Poe and having to go and find a boom of his poetry and look at the last lines.. Then I felt like looking around at the DVD's and was quite happy to see La Notte Di San Lorenzo on sale- it's a movie that you never see anywhere in stores, so I grabbed that and shortly after we wandered over to the shops in the buildig by the Constellation whose name I can never remember so Gavin could get a hat.

Was a good day, but it became far more amusing after that, my dear roommate donned her new hat and by the time we were finished dinner, was just completely and ridiculously silly.

So, by the way...in case I've never mentioned it, Milton's Grill on Charles Street rocks. The servers are all absolutely awesome. We decided to give it a shot one night back in the fall, then came back like, two months later, had the same waiter who remembered us and talked to us like we'd been there a million times. We've been back several times since then and until today always had one of two servers each time, someone new tonight but the previous two were there and made a point of saying hello when we saw them. The food is good and reasonably priced, and usually comes up pretty quickly. Everyone that works there always seems to be really friendly and actually happy to be there. I can't think of anything wrong with the place.

So we left there and wandered off up Charles street. Stopped at the wine shop a couple of blocks above the monument. I got a bottle of a blended white wine. Was going to get a red wine for Dionysus, and then I saw a bottle of another white wine...with a picture of Dionysus on it. So...Dionysus gets white wine this time around.

Then I wanted coffee, so we continued up to XS where we also grabbed a slice of chocolate-strawberry cheesecake- really good stuff, but even splitting it, we couldn't finish it it was that freakin' rich.

We sat there and talked about a whole bunch of things for oh, probably two hours at least, during which time Gavin got sillier and sillier (and more obnoxious too) I swear, it was the hat but she wouldn't take it off t see if there was a difference. I swiped it away for a few minutes, but it wasn't long enough to test the theory. Oh well, another time. We wandered around Mt Vernon a bit more, until we found ourselves over by Penn Station and hopped a cab home from there.

Oh yeah...and the weather today? amazingly gorgeous. almost 70 degrees at 11 o'clock at night? Makes me happy!

I'm tired...having slept less than five hours today, and then walking all over the city. We're going up to Towson tomorrow.

So the last week or so has been considerably better than much of the last few months, and I think tonight I'm really just generally feeling better than I have in a long time, since February definitely but maybe even farther back than that. Gavin pointed out that I wouldn't have had this fun if I had gone to Trillium like I planned....yeah, I guess I kinda have to agree. Tonight was a really good night.
