Anyone remember those thread wraps that people did in their hair back in the 90's?

Well one summer in college, I have like 8 of them all in a row on one side of my hair, each one done in a solid color. I had intended to do my whole head, but never got around to it.

I've decided that I'm going to do that.

I'm kinda missing having the pink hair, but don't want to bleach and dye it again at this point so...i'm going to do that. It's going to take a while, so I will probably just have my hair in a perma-ponytail for a while. Either that or I'll braid it all up first and then wrap it. I picked up a handful of embroidery floss tonight, so I've got a start.

Went to Towson yesterday...while up there, we decided to go and see The Forbidden Kingdom...got tothe theater, bought tickets- only then realized that they sold us tickets for a movie that started half an hour before, and the next one wasn't til 10pm. So we got our money back and stood around for a while trying to figure out what to do, ended up going to Michael's so I could pick up the embroidery floss, wandered around there for a while and then made our way home.

Were going to watch the Lewis Black uncensored show on Comedy Central at 1am...but around midnight, we lost electricity. Completely forgot that BGE had sent around a letter a few weeks ao announcing that there was a blackout scheduled for last night. So we played cards by candlelight instead. After a while, Gavin commented that we should have alcohol. Only alcohol in the house was a bottle of kahlua especial and the two bottles of wine that I had bought for my Saturday night ritual...ended up breaking open the Dionysus wine Gavin poured some out for Dionysus and we each drank a little, then the card game was abandoned for a couple of hours of silliness and stupidity. Eventually, Dominic came home- probably thought we were insane, and sometimes after 4, I attempted to go to sleep but the electric came back on around 5 and I had to go and turn stuff off, and then as soon as I got back into my room, the door alarm went off so I had to go and turn that off. It took me a while to go to sleep, and once I did, it was intermittent. Woke up a bit after two this afternoon.

It's been a good weekend.
