Moving along...
Mar. 26th, 2010 11:51 amAs my ADF membership expires in a couple of weeks, I've sent an email to the organization to let them know that I do not intend to renew, and to request my letter of intent for the Initiate's Program be removed. I've given permission, if they want to, for a link to remain to my dedicant's program journal as well as for an essay that I wrote a few years ago to remain so long as credit to me also remains.
I've also made a post over at
asthefiretree stating that the journal is closed and the only possible additional posts that may be made would be if I decide to dig out my last couple of DP essays that never got posted and put them up there (like the four-times-submitted kindreds essay that no one would tell me just what the hell about it wasn't sufficient for the CTP...no, I'm not still a little bitter about that clusterfuck) I'll probably do that at some point for the sake of completeness.
In other news, largely out of curiosity, I've made some vague gestures in the way of learning a little more about Baltic pagan traditions (as I said to Gavin the other day...its the only quarter of my ancestry that I haven't so far had the opportunity to learn enough about to reject.) There are a few little bits that have caught my curiosity enough to at least learn a little more about. I've got a website full of academic articles, many of them having to do with subjects related to Baltic traditions, which will probably be my major starting point for the moment- websites on the subject of everyday religious practice and whatnot being quite few- and most of them not in any language that I can read. I've joined a couple of email lists too- though have not seen a single message of activity in the few days I've been subscribed to either one- so, uh...so far I can say that have yet to annoy me?
Working on trimming the loose threads here. I'll probably post more as that goes on. One of my next projects is to rewrite my "about" pages here on my profile and for my blog. May not seem like a big deal, but right now they are to me.
