5 Weird Habits Meme Thingy
Dec. 10th, 2005 09:31 pmGround Rules: The 1st player of this "game" starts with the topic "5 weird habits of yourself" and people who get tagged need to write a lj entry about their 5 queer habits as well as state this rule clearly. In the end, you need to choose the next 5 people to be tagged and list their names. Don't forget to leave a comment that says "You are tagged" in their lj and tell them to read yours.
Um, yeah..
liritsvoice Tagged me, so ummmm...weird habits?
1. Jewelery: I'm ridiculously specific about it. Probably to the point of being OCD. I wear a moonstone ring on my right ring finger and an iolite ring on the left. They are the same size, but I CANNOT interchange them. My fingers get all buggy if I try. Last spring, I made a necklace of rhyolite, pink tourmaline and amethyst. I wore it as a necklace a few times...and then it landed on my right wrist one day. I can't wear it as a necklace, I can't wear it on my left wrist. All my other bracelets though, I wear on my left wrist. I'm not nearly as specific with necklaces...except that I don't like them to overlap each other so if I wear more than one, I'm very particular about them being on cords or chains long enough so that they don't overlap.
2. Touching: I touch. I'm really very tactile. Stuff. If I'm in a bookstore, I walk along just running a finger over the spine of books. I'll do the same thing to the outer wall of a building that I'm walking beside. I can't go to yarn or fabric stores or clothes shopping without picking up EVERYTHING. People: I'm very touchy-feely. I feel weird around people who aren't.
3. Straw wrappers: I am death to straw wrappers. If I'm sitting at a table with a beverage that involved a wrapped straw, I have this compulsion to turn the wrapper to confetti...I'll also do this to other people's wrappers.
4. Shoelaces: Must be tied very tightly. If my shoes feel even vaguely like they're sliping around on my feet, it drives me bonkers. (It does not, however bother me if shoes without laces slip around)
5. Eating skittles, M&M's and other similar candy: I either break them down by color/flavor and eat all of one color/flavor at a time, or arange them in little groups of one of each color/flavor per group. i think this was started more out of boredom one day at work when I had a pack of M&M's, but I was dealing with someone's computer issue so I couldn't eat them at the time.
Tagging...ummm...

Date: 2005-12-11 06:28 am (UTC)I do something similar with skittles or M&Ms, except that I eat each color in turn so that there is always an equal number of each color. If there are more reds than browns I'll eat reds until they are equal with browns, etc.
