Office Oddities

Imogen Heap playing on the hold music...yay! Uhg...it just switched. Christmas music. And not good Christmas music either. I'm talking "Little St Nick" by the Beach Boys...one of my least favorite Christmas songs ever. What ever happened to the Chipmunks? Or War Is Over by John Lennon...probably my favorite Christmas song...That's what I'm talking about.

Oh..anf WTF is up with all the women in my office taking cell phone conversations into bathroom stalls while using said facilities? Seriously, that's....yeeeeeah.

Maybe they're on the phone with their doctors and they have to prove...err...never mind.....that's just...yuck. Though when my sister was in the 6th grade and cordless phones were the new thing, one of her friends did that while she was on the phone with my sister and they thought it was badass...but they were 11 year old girls.
I like the Beach Boys but not "Little St. Nick." I've barely heard any Christmas music this year. I'd even go for a round of "Grandma Got Run Over By a Reindeer" right now.

I'm pretty Christmas music-ed out.

And the cell phone thing is one of my huge pet peeves. Fuckin' hang up the phone long enough to take a piss. It's an invasion of my privacy when whoever it is they're talking to can hear me taking a leak. There should be laws against that sort of thing. :)

At my job there's the occasional person on their cell phone in the bathroom because we're not allowed to have our cell phones on in the building. Confidentiality stuff since we work with state and city tax returns.

we can't use our cell phones on the floor, but we can use them elsewhere...breakrooms, lounge, front office kitchen etc. WHY you would do that while using the bathroom when you could use the phone elsewhere...

i'm not talking about standing by the sink and making a call, i'm talking about in the stall, doing your business.
