Hey people...need some thoughts, prayers, good energies to Mea's cat Firebal...aka Psycho.

Just a little while ago, she fell from the 3rd foor of our house down to the first floor while playing around the railing on the 3rd floor.

She seemed rather dazed and looks like some injury in her back right leg/hip, but I don't know what yet...she was walking a little, then sat down on the floor and didn't move til I put the cat carrier down in front of her...she got right up and walked into it, but with a very definite limp. Mea just came home and took her up to the Falls Road Animal Hospital. I was reikiing her while waiting for Mea to get home. She didn't want me to touch her, but she didn't really do anything if I did, though she would periodically rub her face on my hand.

edit:mea just called. the vet doesn't think anyhting is seriously wrong, but they're going to do x-rays

And another edit: Mea just caled again, no major injuries, some possible bruising but kitty is okay. She's getting ready to check out and come home now. Yay!

A friend's cat, appropriately named Splat, fell from a 4th floor balcony during a party. He stood up, noticed there were people downstairs, did the "nothing happened" act, and walked away.

Glad the kitty is fine. I'll bet she won't go near that ledge again for a while. She'll associate it with the vet.

I'm so glad that Firebal (aka Psycho) is ok! Felines are rather resistant thankfully....

Oh goodness. Glad things worked out well for the poor gal. Bet she was scared.

Guess she won't be doing that again for a bit.

huh...good to know, though i was also recently told by another friend that does animal rescue that they know of a lot of people who have had serious problems there....including a cat that was completely lost...just disappeared and never turned up, alive, dead or otherwise. i mean to do a little more research on that fo myself, but it was from someone that i trust that I heard this from.

glad o hear that it went well for you there. it was also okay for fireball...little psycho was back to bouncing off of everyhting last night, though she wasn't completely avoiding the banisters and slats...we're lookigng at some way to prevent that...most likely getting some sort of fabric to weave in and out of the spaces

in other news, i get my own kitty tomorrow...yay!
