Mar. 5th, 2003 11:50 pmI keep having dreams of various disasters involving fire and explosions, where in every situaton I'm right in the middle of the fire/explosion, but I escape unharmed or wth only slight injury...the most recent dream was the other night, I was on top of the Eiffel Tower, right in the middle of a blazing inferno, But I felt no heat, breathed no smoke, was never burned....I jumped from the top of the tower, landed several hundred feet from the base....and was unscarred, except for a couple of small scratches on my hand. Wind was somewhat knocked out of me when I landed, but it wasn't painful. In all these dreams, other people are getting hurt or dying left and right...and I'm walking away pretty much untouched.
I thouht at first maybe I was being reminded of the protection I have in the element of fire...though the more I tink of it, the more I have to wonder why I would need a reminder...it's one of the last things I'd ever forget. All can think of besides that is that something huge is looming on the horizon, something incredibly traumatic, possibly disastrous, that I am going to walk awaky from.
I'm not sure I want to know. But if it is to happen, I wo't have much choice.
There's only one way to find out.

Re: interpretation
Date: 2003-03-06 08:49 pm (UTC)i have not suffered an injury to my ego, nor am i guilty of anything. (BTW there was no blood in the dream, just surface scastches)
In theory, I know what these dreams mean, was not looking for an interpretation. The unknown bit that I as referring to was specifics. I don't go by dream dictionaries, they are at best a jumping-off point to begin intertpretation, and my dreams generally mean something completely different from anyhting I've ever seen in books.
