Yeah, uh....Apple installed my OS for me when I sent the laptop in for a new hard drive, and it came back with home directory named "apple". I thought that was kind of stupid I tried to change it. Things sucked for a while. Then I changed it back and all was well. My laptop continues with that but at least everything works! Someday I shall reinstall.
