Gah! No!

The Mister Coffee just bit it.

It makes coffee. But it's leaking out the bottom, so it doesn't seem safe to use, I don't know where the electrical bits are ocated in there.

I finally remembered to call Toastmaster about the dead Wal Mart Wonder that kicked it back in March. I had to try four times and wait on the line for a while, but I finally got one of their consumer relations people, who asked me for a model number, a code off the bottom of the box, my name address and hone number and told me he'd have a new one shipped out, but the warehouse is closed this week for inventory and they've been closed last week, so they'll be behind...so it may take a few weeks to get me a coffee pot.

Hey hon..I'm about to sell my house and I have some possessions to get rid of..among them is a coffee maker! I received it from resident_geek so it'd be nice to pass it on to another member of the family. It has loads of good karma, but the carafe it comes with isn't the original and does not have a lid. Still, it brews coffee quite well and comes with a gold filter. I don't know quite yet when I'm coming to maryland, but it'll be late next week sometime. I'll save it for ya if the wal-mart connection doesn't pan out. :)

I will take you up on that, it will be a few weeks til the Wal-Mart Wonder's replacement arrives and frankly, I don't think i'm going to trust another one not to bite it in another two months. no worries about the caraffe....let me know when you're going to be in town. Do you have my number?

I've been having a similar experience with a piece of a desk I bought at Wal*Mart. The holes wheren't drilled properly, so they didn't line up right. So, the instructions said to call the company for a replacement piece, not go back to Wal*Mart, so I called. 3 months ago, they said I'd get the piece the following week. So, I keep calling, I got told, "Oh, those pieces come from overseas, I don't know why they told you that! It won't be until NEXT month at the earliest!"

So, 3 weeks later, I call again, the lady said I'll get my piece shipped out to me THIS week. So, if it doesn't show up by Friday, I'll call AGAIN on Monday. Pecker fuckers!

Everyone's a pecker fucker lately. :(
