Wow...those are so beautiful! But what was the point in putting those "little people" in each of them? They are a distraction on the great magnificence of nature!

some of them have a point too. like the "voyage of life" paintings.

I like his stages of civilization paintings.
Towards the end of his life he became more overtly Christian. His paintings tended to have Christian themes. Oh well.

nothing wrong with that. He was Christian. didn't seem to be using it to bash anyone else. And the Hudson River Valley guys tended to be something of a group of proto-environmentalists.
