Jun. 21st, 2006 11:56 pmSo today I aquired a copy of Marion Zimmer-Bradley's The Firebrand...certain thigns about it irk me but for the most part, I like it well enough. (So far though, it's not likely that I will go out of my way to read any of her other books, and I surely will ever join the Avalonian tradition of witchcraft :-P )
I also got my copy of the Da Vinci Enigma Tarot, which is illustrated using drawings by Da Vinci, and the backs are printed with a sort of puzzle that can be used to gain further understanding of the cards. I like it muchly.
Caryn and Will have called a gathering at their place tomorrow to discuss the matter of, er, the Elder Tree. it should be interesting.
And Saturday we will have our Solstace Celebration. I decided to make cherry-chocolate brownies instread of spicy brownies (honestly,
pagandenma, I decided that BEFORE you mentioned the cherry-chocolate cake for sunday!!!!!) and I think I will do that Friday night, one less thng to worry about Saturday.
Friday morning, I have another appointment in the process of working on the school thing.
A while after the pain went away from my headache last night, it took a nasty turn for migraine status, though I was able to curb it pretty quickly, I was also rather disoriented for a while, and thankfully fell asleep pretty quickly (and slept quite well)
We have had 4 people call to make appointments to see the house. Two never showed up. One didn't, but rescheduled and came over last night. A former coworker actually. We have one more who should see the place early next week (he is in Dallas training for a job til then), but it looks like it will come down to a choice between these two.
Pray for good weather Saturday because supposedly it's going to thunderstorm off and on all day (Though, a Grove ritual in the rain could be gangs of fun...)
I am being rather superficial here and saying I don't know WTF I'm going to wear for Saturday. I felt a little better last weekend when Caryn assured me that it's a perfectly normal think to worry about, being in the middle of it and everything. I was thinking of my blue tie-dyed skirt and a white top, no shoes of course. but I'm not 100% sure.
We have a DVD player hooked up now. I have Netflix DVD's for several weeks...I think I will watch them and send them back.
