Jun. 23rd, 2006 06:00 pmI have been meaning to, but haven't really commented or posted about the issue, which is getting a LOT of press time for the last several months, thanks to Roberta Stewart, whose late husband, SGT Patrick Stewart was Wiccan, the fact that the VA is stonewalling on people's attempts to get the pentagram approved as a religious symbol for veteran's gravestones. There is an approved symbol for atheism, and for various sects that no one has ever heard of, but not for Wicca.

And I really can't think of any better commentary than the last line of the article:
"After all, if we can't live up to religious freedom at home, we have no business asking soldiers to die for religious freedom abroad."
