badstarSo this evening is going to be the first meeting of the Hellenic study that I'm trying to organize.
Earlier this week, someone found my post on witchvox, sent it to an email list that I'm on with several hundred people...as a result, a few locals expressed interest, not sure if they're going to make it tonight or not...but out of all that, I got a response from someone- not local- who's been translating Greek as a hobby for years now, who offered to send me a copy of Loeb's Classics "Hesiod, Homeric Hymns, Epic Cycle, Homerica." which is apparently in the process of going out of print.
And then today, i got an email from a lady down in college park who used to do public greek ritual in Adelphi. She wasn't going to make it to the meeting, but I get an email from her saying that she and her husband have rearranged their evening schedule to come up.
I'm going to be leaving to wander up there pretty soon. Though the meeting doesn't start til 730.
