It's come up in a couple of communities, therefore it's on my mind. So I's gonna spam your friendslist with my ponderings. Again. I know, I only did this a few months ago.

Magic. It's spelled m-a-g-i-c. There's no k.

Bull.

There are plenty of other words in the English language that have multiple meanings that don't need a special spelling for each meaning. Why is this one different?

Very academically bitchy of you. Of course, I can totally relate, though perhaps not with this particular term. If I get papers that talk about "magick" from students, I just mark the word mispelled and move on.

Heee... and that's why I like you on my "LJ befriended" list. The only time I see "Magick" as a viable spelling is when discussing/refering to things Thelema and Crowley.
