Thanks for your letter. I realize you didn't have to take any time to write me after being so turned off.

You've made me think twice (actually about ten times!) about the hidden recorder and I appreciate your honesty. I'm most concerned though, about the "derrision, ridicule and arrogance" comment. Those are not biblical values and I cringe to think I came off that way. Sometimes in a radio show, there is a tendency to be "funny" or "witty" and perhaps I really blew it in that segment.

While I cannot agree with false spirituality that I consider to be harmful, you're right that my own attitude needs to be one of love and compassion toward those who I believe are caught up in a lie.

You've made me think and re-evaluate my motives and attitude. Thank you very much.

Thank you for your quick response to my concerns. I understand the point of view of working for radio and trying to be funny and witty. I myself have worked for a radio station in the past and wit is definitely an asset in that field. I regret that I must say that I agree with you in saying that you blew it in this segment and I suspect that you would feel the same if some of those people had come to your church, recorded your service and lampooned it in the same manner for an international audience.

I do understand that you do not agree with the religion of this organization, of which I am also a member although not in the locality where you visited (And for the record anything I say here is spoken strictly for myself and no one else in the organization). I understand that you feel that it is misguided and potentially harmful. On that I will simply say that I do not agree with you, but I am not writing in attempt to change your mind on that matter. I do NOT appreciate such hurtful misrepresentation of my religion. I do NOT appreciate that many people had their trust violated.

I do appreciate that you have taken my concerns to heart. As harsh as I had to be, I do feel that everything that I've heard in this podcast went against what I learned about Christianity when I was younger, and what I continue to learn today, despite having left Christianity several years ago. I have recieved an email also from Ray Comfort indicating that you are attempting to educate people on the history of major religions. I have no control over what you do here, but I am going to ask that you seriously consider destroying the footage that you have, and taking some time to actually learn about what these religions are about and what people do, and their history...particularly if you intend to tell other people about them. You may not agree with us, and we may not agree with you, but misrepresentation and ridicule does nothing but foster hostility and animosity, and I think that we can all agree that that gets us nowhere in this world.
