Apparently my sister called right before I got home from work.

I called her back. Now she wants me to find someone in Baltimore to make the blasted dress. I asked her if I couldn't please just go to the store and buy one. Of course not. It wouldn't be the same.

Well shite. How complicated is the damn dress, and does she have a pattern picked out? If it's not too complex, I may be able to help you out. (And send your wedding-idiotic sister my bill . . .)

it's not a very complicated dress, really. It's a McCalls pattern, I could find out which number. And she is willing to pay for someone to do this, so there's the bill :-P

The other thing that I thought of is that what might be more realistic would be to have them make the dress, and find someone locally who is able to do any alterations closer to the date.
