I was right, it's pretty close to my real color. A little darker is all. Actually, the overall color is a lot darker than I expected. Cause, ya know, lightened hair usually dyes a lighter, brighter shade. I can only imagine how dark it would be if my hair weren't lightened.

This feels weird.

Did you do it for your sister? I mean seriously I know it's hard to explain funky coloured hair to those who just don't get it, but I've learned just to tune them out. Or to say rude things back at them and they generally get my drift.

If you don't like it, dye it back. Or put a pink streak in, like a little security blanket.

What might be making it look weird is a lack of high and low lights, so perhaps invest in some high/low light kit and put some in. Hair isn't supposed to be all one colour. :D

I'd originally planned to get some temporary dye in a "normal" color and just do it a day or two before the wedding- I'll have enough other headaches to deal with that weekend. I decided to just do the full dye thing because I had several inches of roots, and I didn't want to dye it pink again with the roots, I didn't want to bleach all my hair out, and I didn't feel like dealing with the hassle of doing only the roots. So...real dye job.

The color isn't actually one flat shade. there was enough variation in color in my hair before- there were spots that didn't bleach out very well, so they were darker, and others that bleached far more than the rest so they were lighter, so there's some visible variation there.

It just feels weird because it's been a long time since my hair's been this color (or somehting close to it)

(and, this is only a minor thought that just now occured to me, but I'm having a slightly difficult time of wrapping my brain around the idea of doing a Thargelia ritual with pink hair...)
