badstarI got my order from Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab today. I got, of course, the ones that I ordered plus they sent me two extras- I do not like either of them, both are very strong, heavy floral scents. If you're around Baltimore and you like them, or want to try them, let me know, they're all yours if you come and pick them up. First come, first served, leave a comment here.
Queen Mab- black orchid, sandalwood, night-blooming jasmine, osmanthus, Somalian rose, and Chinese musk.
and Opium Poppy, no actual description of what goes into it given.
I ordered these:
Delphi- The smoke of Sacred Incense of Apollo twined through laurel branches, bay, and honey wine. I was warned about this one, but ya know...I had to try it. And I'm glad that I did. I questioned it a bit when I sniffed the vial, but I put a tiny dab on my wrist, and it smells quite good on me...it seems to have settled into something that reminds me of cinnamon and a little bit of rose since it's mixed with my skin chemistry...it's nothing that I'd have thought to ever try without the obvious associations, but I like it. (And a few minutes later, I can smell the honey, and a vague hint of bay) I will definitely think about ordering a full-size of it when I have some extra money.
I haven't tried the others on me yet, but I like all of them in the tube. I would happily buy a full size of any of them that smell half as good on me as they do in the vial.
Shango- red apples, banana, chili pepper, coconut, pineapple, pomegranate and sugar cane. Can I just say, smells yummy?
Tweedledee- Kumquat, white pepper, white tea and orange blossom- smells almost edible, like something baked. I think it's the orange blossom and pepper in it.
Kuang Shi- Mandarin orange, white musk, mango, and white sandalwood Smelling mostly the sandalwood and a bit of mandarin orange. Not normally a sandalwood fan, but if it's done right, it definitely works.
Phobos- white musk, lemon verbena, white grapefruit and lemongrass.- love this one, will probably try it next. I smell mostly the lemongrass in the vial and just the faintest hint of musk. (I normally don't like musk, but a tiny bit of it can be good, depending on the other scents)
Baobhan Sith- Grapefruit, white tea, apple blossom and ginger.- smells so good, very clean and light, and summer-ish.
